There is an obvious (and good) interest in design quality, but there has to be a recognition that in speaking to communities, we cannot belittle the quality of the properties people are already living in. This should be about positive Thurrock, not little London.

What are the distinctive places in the borough you think help define a sense of place?

Zoe demonstrated how to amend a previously submitted site in the Call for Sites portal and Chris Highbury talked about Stantec's work helping the Council review the Local Plan evidence base and programme.

We held a virtual Developer Forum on 18th April 2024. We started with an introduction to our new Chief Planning Officer Ashley Baldwin and then Local Plan Manager Kirsty Paul brought us up to date with the Local Plan including the Initial Proposals consultation held at the start of the year.
